Our Process

In pre-production, we will establish a timeline, and identify relevant family pictures and videos to be included in the production. We will then discuss your video style and preferences. Your involvement in this stage would generally include up to two in-person or phone meetings.

Here, the cameras will roll. Most interviews are conducted in your home, office or another relevant locale. The location is important for the “feel” of the video. We sometimes provide sample questions in advance, but in general, we prefer for the conversations to be spontaneous. We believe, and it is our experience, that unscripted interviews bring the best stories to life.

Post-Production is where our professional team brings all the pieces together to create your family’s custom video or audio biography. Once the draft has been finalized, we will ask you to watch it in detail and provide feedback so we can work on your edits. Our goal in the Post-Production phase is to combine all of the elements of your story into a cohesive biography that your family will enjoy for generations to come!
